University College Dublin (UCD) International Study Centre is proud to announce its 2017 progression rate. This year it is an impressive 85%!
Progression rate means the number of students who completed their pathway with us and went on to study for a degree at UCD.
The International Study Centre provides two subject routes for its International Foundation Year:
These pathways aim to develop the English language and academic skills of international students, just like you, to the level needed for degree study.
Studying on UCD’s main campus helps you to make a confident transition to your degree. You get to share your study abroad experience with other international students and learn from expert teachers. This puts you in the best position to adapt to a new education system and degree study. The CareerAhead element of your pathway even looks beyond your studies; it begins supporting you on your journey to career success.
Yuenong studied International Foundation Year in Business, Economics and Social Sciences and progressed to BComm Commerce at UCD. She says:
“After I graduated from the International Study Centre and was studying my bachelor’s degree at UCD, I thought back about the course and realised I have a good foundation in all the courses that I’m going to study at UCD. It is not only about the knowledge, it’s about academic skills, team working, leadership, organisation, how to do presentations and how to talk to people. These are the skills that you could not learn anywhere. The most useful year of the past four years was the International Study Centre course.”
