Ireland is one of the world’s most inspiring countries for studying abroad, offering a world-class education and the opportunity to stay and work after graduation. We've put together our top reasons international students choose Ireland for their university degree.
1. Stay in Ireland after graduation
International graduates from an Irish university are able to stay in Ireland looking for work after they graduate. Under the Third Level Graduate Scheme you can apply to stay in Ireland for up to two years while you find a job, and you can stay for as long as you are in that job. The scheme has been newly extended from 12 months to 24 months, which is great news for starting your career here.
2. See big business in action
At University College Dublin (UCD) you will be in a city home to some of the biggest businesses in the world. Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple and Twitter are all based here. During your degree you’ll have access to the University’s Career Development Centre.
